Stress is a common experience for all of us.

Stress can actually be helpful to us to some extent. Our stress response can keep us safe in dangerous situations, for example, when we need to swerve in the car to avoid an accident or when we have a test coming up that we need to study for. Our stress response can kick in quickly to keep us safe or keep us moving toward a goal. Stress can be a one time occurrence, short term occurrence, or a frequent occurrence. When short term stress sticks around and becomes long term stress, then our overall health can suffer. How each person responds to and recovers from stress varies greatly and here are some examples of how our bodies could possibly respond to long-term or chronic stress.

Lowering your stress level may require a deeper dive into what your stressors are, identifying what needs to change, and putting strategies into place. Just like every person is effected differently by stress, every person needs a unique exploration of and plan of action to decrease their stress level.

I love assisting my clients in this process of discovery and change that can not only help you mentally and emotionally, but physically as well. If this sounds like something you'd like to explore, feel free to reach out to me at [Please enable JavaScript to view this email address].
